Tygris is obviously not in the original cartoon. However, in my incarnation of ThunderCats, Tygris was Tygra's father. Like Tygra, Tygris was Claudis' best friend, the captain of the guard and Royal Family's principle Body Guard. Tygris died with Claudis trying to protect him. Tygris will probably be the only other parent of the ThunderCats I do; because he is the only one (next to Claudis and Leandra) that has any real bearing to the story. Much of Tygra's character is linked to this long dead man.
